Dear editor,
Recently, we have had a discussion about whether it is good for parents to book a room for their children at a hotel near the school where the college entrance exam will be taken. Views vary from person to person.
75 percent of the students insist there be no need for their parents to do so. In their eyes, it only means a waste of money. They think whether they can do well in the exam doesn’t depend on the place they live in. Besides, The parents’ company will do no good to them but make them feel more nervous.
But 25 percent of the students hold the opposite view. They think they had better live in the hotel if their parents can afford it. There is no doubt that the condition and environment there are extremely good, especially, which can provide them with a quiet place. What’s more, in the company of their parents, they feel more confident of the exam.
In my opinion, everything has two sides, and the views above are both acceptable; it all depends on whether their parents can afford it.
