A news conference（会议） announced Drew Barrymore as Cover Girl’s newest model and spokeswoman in 2007 in Beverly Hills, Calif. Drew Barrymore was born with her acting family’s classic（经典的） beauty, but Drew Barrymore thinks her fun-loving way of life contributes to her No. 1 spot on People magazine’s “100 Most Beautiful People” list. “I just think happiness is what makes you pretty,” she tells the magazine. “Happy people are beautiful. They are like a mirror and they reflect that happiness.”
　　Barrymore, 32, graces the cover of the issue（期） that hits newsstands Friday. It’s her fourth time on the list, but first as cover girl.
　　Making the cover “made my peacock（孔雀） feathers shine in the golden-hour light and extend（延伸） to the heavens,” says Barrymore, who stars in the Warner Bros film “Lucky You” that will be on show soon, opposite Eric Bana.
　　In the magazine, she talks a lot of topics on beauty. When she is asked how she will make up（化妆） when she dates, she says the only basic rule for her is to just be herself. She says. “Let you show what you are really, and if someone doesn’t accept you, go on looking for it.”
　　Barrymore is one of 11 famous people—including Eva Longoria and the three Jessicas (Simpson, Alba and Biel) — photographed for the issue without makeup. “I find that men, in my past, have preferred me without making up,” Biel, 25, says of makeup.
