定语从句是高中英语重点语法项目之一, 也是高考必考项目之一。纵观近几年的高考，不难发现“介词+关系代词”引导的定语从句是考查的热点。那么，同学们该怎样应对这一类型的题呢？
首先，我们要判断关系代词，如果先行词是人，关系代词应用whom或 whose；如果先行词是物，关系代词为which。其次，选择正确的介词。介词的选择可归纳以下四点：
A．根据定语从句谓语动词的习惯搭配。如：
1．The schools themselves admit that not all children will be successful in the jobs_______they are being trained.（2005江西卷）

【解析】答案D。先行词是jobs，从句部分还原即“they are being trained for the jobs.” be trained for是固定短语，意思是“为…而培训”。
2.American women usually identify their best friend as someone_________they can talk frequently.（2004上海卷）

【解析】答案D。talk with somebody是固定搭配。
B．由先行词来决定。如：
3.Many people who had seen the film were afraid to go to the forest when they remembered the scenes __________people were eaten by the tiger. （2005广东卷）

【解析】答案A。先行词scene搭配的介词是in ，in the scenes“在这些情景中”。

【解析】答案C。第一空为定语从句，先行词是place，表示桥在什么地方建介词用at；第二空为表语从句，表示地点，所以用连接词where。

【解析】答案C。先行词是play，通过拆分我们可以得My students acted in the English play at the New Year’s party。
C.表示所属关系，部分与整体的关系或表示全部时, 介词应用of 。当表示部分与整体的关系或表示全部时和of which/of whom 连用的主要是含有数量意义的不定代词，名词，数词以及形容词最高级。如：
