  Porpoise Tuffy in Navy

  Tuffy works for the US Navy(海军). Tuffy is a porpoise(海豚). Navy men taught Tuffy to come to them. They sounded a bell. When Tuffy came, they gave her fish. Some Navy men worked for forty five days in an unusual ship at the bottom(底部) of the sea. It was called Sea Lab Ⅱ (海洋实验室2号). The men in Sea Lab Ⅱ wanted to send out some letters. They sounded the bell. When Tuffy came, they put a bag on her. Then they put a box of letters in Tuffy’s bag. A ship on top of the water sounded a bell. Tuffy carried the letters up to the ship.
  The men in Sea Lab Ⅱ needed tools. So the men in the ship up above put the tools in Tuffy’s bag. Then Sea Lab Ⅱ sounded the bell. Tuffy brought the tools down.
  Porpoises can make strange sounds. Scientists listen to these sounds. They believe the porpoises are saying something. Porpoises look happy. If we can talk to them, we may learn why they are happy.

  Aerobic Exercise

  有氧健身操形式多样,动作设计自由度很大:可以是时髦的舞步,也可以揉入各种球类动作,跳起来充满动感,具有很强的时代气息,因此深受美国人的欢迎。那么这种新型的健身形式对身体究竟有哪些好处呢?
  Aerobic exercise can do a lot good for people: It makes you feel happy and believe in yourself. But many scientists believe that something else happens, too. Just as exercise makes the body stronger, they think that it also builds the important parts of the brain(大脑).
  Study shows that aerobic exercise helps you learn new things and remember old ones better. Aerobic exercise sends more blood(血) to the brain and it also gives the brain with something that builds new nerves(神经). If the exercise has a lot of dance or basketball steps, the brain makes more new nerves. As your nerves are stronger, your brain can work out all kinds of things.
  Scientists still don’t know clearly how exercise can help the brain. But now, people just have to know that exercise is helping them to learn or remember things. Study clearly shows that three or more times of exercise a week are good for you. A study in America, for example, shows that walking four to five miles (6.5 to 8 km) an hour for 45 minutes five times a week helps you live longer. So don’t stay at home all day like a potato. Get out and do something!
